What happened to you once you made it, son? You're still filling all them letters With what you wanted to say When you're feeling alright When you're feeling alright When you're feeling alright When you're feeling alright I don't read the news 'cos I'm so afraid People run in circles Arguments the same But I'm feeling alright But I'm feeling alright But I'm feeling alright But I'm feeling alright What happened to you once you made it, son? You're still filling all them letters With what you wanted to say...

Too much coal, when the fire's burning down below So we suffered in the heat 'til it was done You joked and said the bedroom was hotter than the sun We had to stay in there 'til it was time to run Yeah! No love left, you'll be old before you even know But them stories won't keep writing themselves Brother you're a charmer but things ain't what they seem You better get on track my friend and trust in me I've watched you go through changes I've watched you go through changes Too much coal, when the fire's burning down below So we suffered in the heat 'til it was done You joked and said the bedroom was hotter than the sun We had to stay in there 'til it was time to run I've watched you go through changes I've watched you go through changes I've watched you go through changes I've watched you go through changes Changes, yeah!

Hey, what became of you Some of the boys were asking Did you plot out a grand escape? I know some others went that way When are you coming home To check them old connections Back to the battleground All of the boys are asking I've started wondering aloud About the old heartbreakers Are they still hanging out Picking up the same old faces The heart's a cruel mistress It plays a solitary tune And we know all the dances And she's still got the moves Yeah, what became of old friends? The ones that drifted from the shore That spend the years surviving tides And found new lands and something more When are you coming home? All of the boys are asking.ft

Some days it feels like I've lived for several hundred years Where I've lost all that I've ever known And found it all again In the cradle of creation where the mountains used to move I'm seeing you in places brought up from my memories Of catacombs and villages And bustling city streets Do you feel like it's drifting away, sometimes? Some days I realise it's been several hundred years Since we saw Constantinople And we watched them kill the kings I hear that now you never speak of the beauty you have seen The darkness of the oceans in those vibrant memories The hedonistic parties In those crowded ancient streets Do you feel like it's drifting away, sometimes? Sometimes.

Safe With Me 03:51
Despite all the things you've seen You're safe with me And all those places you have been You're safe with me Safe with me Safe with me Baby you've been trying to find me And you can't see through So deep and dark before the dawn It get's you so confused Safe with me Safe with me Despite all the things you've seen You're safe with me And all those places you have been You're safe with me Safe with me Safe with me These days are getting brighter, you're safe with me These days are getting brighter, you're safe with me These days are getting brighter, you're safe with me These days are getting brighter, you're safe with me

about

This began to take shape in the middle of 2015, while I was aimlessly recording songs. A band name came courtesy of Laura George of Red House Music, an independent record store in Aberdare, and this officially became a thing.

These songs were recorded very basically at various points over a period of 18 months in my bedroom and my basement.

This is an album for my friends, family & loved ones.

released September 13, 2016

Written, performed & recorded by Dorian Richard Holmes.

All songs were recorded directly to my beat-up old Tascam.

Respect to Chris Cartwright, Chris Davies, Tim Jones, Dom Castree & Carl Harvey for propelling this foward live.
